Start with the Right Tools:
Select a toothbrush that suits your mouth’s size and shape. We recommend medium-bristled brushes for their gentle yet effective cleaning. Consider an electric toothbrush for an enhanced cleaning experience. It can remove more plaque than a manual toothbrush and has features that assist you, like timers and pressure sensors.
Make sure you use fluoride toothpaste to strengthen tooth enamel and protect against decay.
Master the Technique
Place your brush at a 45-degree angle to your gums. Move it gently in a circular motion, covering all surfaces—the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces of your teeth. When you reach the back of your front teeth, flick the toothbrush gently down. Don’t forget your tongue—it’s a haven for bacteria!
Timing is Everything
Brush for at least two minutes twice a day. Timing yourself can ensure you give each section of your mouth the attention it deserves. It’s also handy to time your clean on each tooth.
The Finishing Touches
Floss daily to remove debris that your brush can’t reach.
